Our Beliefs

1. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God. It is our source for instruction in every area of life and practice and is true in everything it teaches. (II Tim. 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21)
2. We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are co-equal in power and glory and exhibit all the attributes of Deity. (Matt. 28:19, Mark 1:10-11)
3. We believe that God created all things, including mankind, in His image, in six days. The original creation was pronounced “good” and was without defect. (Gen. 1:1-31, Psalm 33:6, John 1:1-3)
4. We believe that while mankind was created in God’s image and was initially morally innocent, Adam and Eve rebelled against God and death (both physical and spiritual) became the new reality. Since Adam every human exists in a state of rebellion and separation from God and deserves His righteous judgment. ( Gen. 3:1-24, Rom. 5:12-21)
5.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, that He was born in this world of a virgin and that He was fully God and fully man in His incarnation. He lived a sinless life, unlike the first Adam, and offered that life willingly on the cross. He died in the place of sinners and bore the just wrath of God the Father as a once for all atoning sacrifice. He rose from the dead three days later and bodily ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father awaiting His second coming to earth in power and glory. (John 1:1-14, Matt. 1: 18-23, Col. 1:19, Romans 3:21-25, I Cor. 15:3-4, Rev. 19:11-21)

6.

We believe repentance from sin and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ is required of all people. Faith in Christ results in forgiveness of sin, a new birth into spiritual life and relationship with God and eternal physical life in God’s presence at the return of Christ. This is the good news of the Gospel. (Mark 1:14-15, John 3:3-16, Rom. 3:23-27, Rom. 6:23, II Cor. 5:17)

7. We believe that every true believer in Jesus is indwelt with the Holy Spirit of God and is thereby placed into the Body of Christ (the church). The indwelling Spirit empowers the believer for godly living and service as a part of the church (Matt. 3:11, I Cor. 12:13, Eph. 1:13, Romans 8:1-13)
8. We believe it is the mission of the church to proclaim the good news of Christ’s work in all the world and to build up the church in faith. (Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)
9.

We believe in a literal heaven and hell and that all mankind will be judged on the basis of what they did with Christ. There is a resurrection of both the saved and lost, one to eternal life and one to eternal punishment. (John 5:28-29, Rev. 20:11-15, 21:1-2)

10. We believe in the imminent return of Christ to receive His church and to reign in His rightful place. ( I Thess. 4:15-18, I Cor. 15:51-58, Rev.19:12-21, 20:1-5)
